About Zanjan
Zanjan is the capital of Zanjan Province in northwestern Iran. It lies 298 km (185 mi) north-west of Tehran on the main highway to Tabriz and Turkey and approximately 125 km (78 mi) from the Caspian Sea. At the 2011 census, its population was 386,851,which is the 20th largest city in Iran.The population of Zanjan consists mostly of Iranian Azerbaijanis who speak the Azerbaijani language.






     
  Soltaniyeh Dome:
the world biggest brick dome. Constructed in Ilkhani era. Commanded by Sultan Mohammed (khoda bandeh) its construction lasted for 10 years.

     
  Mir Bahaedin Bridge:
it’s known as old bridge or Dragon Bridge. It dates back to Qajar dynasty. it was constructed in Naserodin king reign.

     
  Ghaidar Prophet Holy Shrine:
Gheidar is Ismael son. This shrine was constructed in 14 century AD. It is of unique glamour.

     
  Katale Khor Cave:
this cave is land and water one and it’s one the world most uncrushed.

     
  Takhte Soleiman:
it was considered Iranian biggest training religious ,social center before Islam advent .

     
  Rakhtshooy khaneh (laundry mat) Museum:
It was a place for doing the laundry in the past. There is no such an example with similar application throughout the world.

     
  Sulty mens:
Sixed mummies were found recently in Zanjan belong to Sassanid and Achaemenian reign.
